Paper offering envelope measures 23cm x 10cm. Traditional design with Tibetan script and eight auspicious symbols on the front with tuck-in flap closure. Hand made in Nepal and sent from the UK.
These envelopes are for making offerings/donations to lamas or Rinpoches. The Tibetan tradition of making offerings is known as ‘dana’ meaning generosity. The red envelope is used for mandala offerings as a symbol of the universe and are offered at rituals. They are also made in blue, green yellow saffron and cream.
